Hvor er postfix-loggfilene?

Jeg vet at dette har blitt spurt hundre ganger. Men jeg har søkt mye på Google uten å lykkes. Mitt spørsmål: Jeg ønsker å logge all aktivitet på postfix-serveren min. Verken standardfilen /var/log/mail eller noen annen fil som har med mail eller postfix å gjøre eksisterer.

  1. Hva er den nøyaktige strengen som skal legges inn i konfigurasjonsfilen /etc/postfx/main.cf for å aktivere logging?
  2. Hvor kan jeg se hvilken konfigurasjonsfil postfix bruker? (i henhold til tipset mitt nedenfor)

Løsning

De skal ligge i /var/log/mail.log. Det ser imidlertid ut til at du (eller leverandøren din) har endret konfigurasjonen av syslog-anlegget. Det er fullt mulig å bruke syslogd i stedet for rsyslogd, men da kan du forvente at ting fungerer annerledes enn du hadde forventet.

Som allerede nevnt i kommentarene, dukket filene opp igjen ved å installere rsyslog.

På Ubuntu 16.04 fant jeg postfix-logger i /var/log/syslog:

grep postfix /var/log/syslog

Du kan se strømmen av postfix-logger:

tail -f /var/log/syslog | grep postfix
